The Intelligence Bureau (IB), is considered to be one of the oldest Intelligence agencies around the world. It was about intelligence a course in miracles, but recently it is focused on internal security. Officially, the IB is under the Ministry of Home Affairs, but in practice the Director IB is a Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) member and Steering Committee has the authority to brief the Prime Minister in case of necessity, but intelligence inputs have to go through regular channels in the MHA to the JIC. The IB operates at state and national level.
